I pursued my BS-MS Integrated Dual Degree at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram, India, where I conducted my major thesis on the synthesis of chiral porphyrin cages for selective host-guest interactions under the supervision of Dr. Soumen De. Alongside this, I completed a minor project in biology under Dr. V. Stalin Raj, where I worked on fluorescent labelling of soluble ACE2 proteins for live cell imaging. Following my master’s, I joined the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) as a PhD candidate in Prof. Anja Palmans’ group, within the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. My research focus on single-chain polymeric nanoparticles (SCPNs) for targeted bio-orthogonal catalysis in 3D cell models. We aim to develop catalytically active SCPNs with target ligands that are capable of converting inactive prodrugs into toxic anti-cancer agents selectively at tumour sites to reduce side effects.
