I studied chemistry at the Humboldt University of Berlin, where I obtained my master’s degree in 2014, investigating photoswitchable Brønsted bases. Subsequently, I continued with my PhD research in the group of Prof. Stefan Hecht at the Humboldt University of Berlin where I obtained my doctorate in 2019 (summa cum laude) with a focus on controlling the synthesis of biodegradable polymers with light. During this period, I visited the laboratory of Prof. Craig Hawker at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I was involved in the development of a novel light-guided 3D printing technique. Currently, I am a Feodor Lynen postdoctoral fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation in the groups of Prof. Bert Meijer and Prof. Anja Palmans at the Eindhoven University of Technology, working on photoredox-active polymeric nanoparticles.
